A Certified Teacher

On Friday I received a letter from the College Board with the results of my PCMAS, the test we have to take in order to be certified as teachers and I PASSED! The minimum results to pass are 92 and 89 and I got 137 and 120. So now I am a certified teacher :) I just need to finish this last weeks of school and I'm done! I'll graduate in May, with the official ceremony in June.

Before reading the results, I was at the university picking up my last honor roll invitation T-T and my graduation ring so I was already a bit nostalgic 'cause it's been five years and I'm really going to miss everything about college life. 2013 so far has brought a lot challenges  for me academically and in my personal life, including the health issues I've mentioned. However it has also been an eye opener and through all of the experiences I've had since the year started I have learned in what areas of my life I was weaker when I thought I was strong and in which ones I'm stronger than I thought I was.

At this point in my life, even though the end of the semester is near and I have a LOT of work to finish (hopefully I won't stress out!), I feel happy. I went through that journey a while ago but I feel like I found myself again. I happy with the way my life is going, I'm happy with the ones around me, I'm happy with the way I am and I won't change for anyone unless it's for myself :)

Pretty pink

Since I wrote last I've been feeling a bit better so it was time to take care of myself in the beauty department :)

My nails had to be cut back on February because my supervisor told me that I could accidentally scratch a kid. She asked me to make them shorter but I decided to cut them all off because two of them had repairs already so meh XD They already grew but that's why their length is different than usual. I had bought some nail polishes recently and hadn't used the yet so this was the first time using two of them. I'll add the name of the colors later 'cause I don't  have the at hand right now.

I have a thing for glittery nails, maybe it was thanks to all of the Japanese videos I've seen. I've notice they tend to use a lot of glitter in their designs and I like it :) I used a base color in lavender because it looks more pink than lavender and is really light, the color wont show till a third coat. The second color has a tint of pink with flakes (it looked hot pink on the bottle XD) and lastly one that has different sizes of pink and holographic glitter.

Yes, the picture was taken in a store while shopping for fabric lol I had to use the good lighting there.

"Misi Sanche"

Since the last entry I've been resting a lot. On Tuesday I had to leave the classroom after giving my class so I could go to the doctor. I knew I was going to take a day or two to stay at home so I gave my class anyway that day. The doctor told me I have asthma along with some other things that made the condition worse. I've been on therapy for three days now and finally today I can breath better. My voice is still not good, my throat hurts a bit and if I don't take the therapy on time I start to feel the pressure when breathing, but I'm on my way to recovery.

I didn't really wanted to take two days off but my doctor, parents, supervisor, best friend and bf insisted XD I have the certificate that says I had to stay home so there's no problem, but I don't like to miss class. I got scared this time because it had been a long time since I had to take therapy for the asthma, so I decided to rest and take my medicine like I should (when I get sick and still go to school I don't take the medicines so I don't fall asleep). This semester I've been getting sick a lot, the doctor thinks it could be something in the classroom that is harming my health because it had been a few years since I got sick and now I've been to his office ever since classes began.

As for the tittle of the post, "Misi Sanche"... Here kids call the teacher Misi, from the English word Miss (sometimes they say that one too). My last name is Sanchez, so I'm Miss Sanchez :) One of my students gave me a hand made gift made with seeds picked by himself. He forgot to write the z, I believe it's because Puerto Ricans tend to suck up the letters s and z (specially when it's at the end of the word) while speaking so when they say my name it sounds like Sanche.
